6 peaks in 1 day? Wait? Wuuut? π±πππ
Was hesitant at first lalo pa I don't have proper and enough training prior the climb. Tho, I already have an idea with the six mountains on our iti kasi naakyat ko na siya by trilogy batch, first (WAWA TRILOGY V1: Mt. Binicayan, Mt. Haponang Banoi and Mt. Pamitinan last December 30, 2017) second, (WAWA TRILOGY V2: Mt. Susong Dalaga, Mt. Lagyo and Mt. Parawagan, January 20, 2018) but this time it's different and more challenging. Kasi hindi na tatlo, but 6 mountains that I have to conquer in 1 day. HEXA DIEHIKE este dayhike kumbaga.
The climb was organized by DIEHIKERS UNLIMITED, the group meet-up was at Cubao Farmers Plaza, but since taga-Montalban lang ako dinaanan na lang ako ng group along the way.
We reached Sitio Wawa around 4am. We had our breakfast at Nanay Ghie's karinderya, registered at DENR, secure our guide, briefing and prayer to ask guidance and protection from above before we start our climb.
We're seven in our group who will try to conquer Montalban Hexa climb (Mark, Neil, Ross, John, Rob, Zil and me) we're accompanied by our guide Kuya Rene and Jason, one of DHU member. The climb started at exactly 5am.
For our first mountain, we started with Mt. Parawagan (480+ MASL). Vertical assault agad mga bes, sinubok agad ang tibay ng tuhod ππ£ feeling ko natunaw agad yung kinain kong saging and egg for breakfast π. Nginig tuhod, but the sunrise and the amazing view on the way up ang pumapawi ng pagod.

The challenging Mt. Lagyo (396 MASL) with its sheer cliffs was our second mountain. Expect a much steeper climb with rock scrambling on your way up to the summit. Good thing I have a pair of gloves with me so I would have a good grip. Those are just few of "Hugot Lines" na maririnig mo sa mga local guides na makakasama or makakasalubong mo sa trail π. You will get tired, yes, but you will never get bored dahil sa mga Kuyang guides na napakadaming baon na pick-up lines at ingingiti mo na lang ang pagod mo. We just had a photo-op at the viewdeck and did some buwis buhay shots. The sun has risen and it's getting hotter at the viewdeck so we decided to move on to our 3rd peak.

| Napagod na ko dito bes, pahinga while waiting for others makatapos magpicture. |
Our 3rd peak, Mt. Susong Dalaga (325 MASL) (a name fits for a mountain with a pointed peak) has an open trail so we have to endure the blazing heat of the sun which makes our climb a little harder. I am already exhausted. Nginig and naninigas na tuhod ko bes, I can feel that anytime my legs would cramps, ayaw lang siya ientertain ng utak ko kasi paakyat ng 3rd summit pa lang kami. We still have 4summit to go, so I keep on pushing and trek towards the trail of Mt. Susong Dalaga. We reached the summit around 9am but it's really hot that time, we just had our mandatory group pic and descent on our way back to jump-off area to rest and have our lunch.

We descent back at the jump-off area around 10am. We bought lunch at Nanay Ghie's karinderia and the group decided to take atleast 1 hour rest/nap.
I guess the group were really tired, the 1hour rest became 1 and a half hour. We also change our guide because Kuya Rene couldn't handle the pain anymore, he suffered from a foot injury from his previous climb. Andro, one of DHU member and Kuya Rey our guide accompanied us on the last 3 mountains.
11:30am, under the scorching heat of the sun, we started to trek and another story full of struggles began. Now, we're heading to the twin mountains of Mt. Hapunang Banoi and Mt. Pamitinan. It shares a common trail going to junction, but first you will pass by the beautiful wawa river. The junction also serves as resting place of the trekkers where you will also find a sari-sari store and souvenir shop. They also serve fresh buko juice to quench your thirst, sound refreshing? ππ΄
The junction is divided into two, the left side going to Mt. Hapunang banoi and the right side on to Mt. Pamitinan.

For our fourth summit, we took the left side going to Mt. Hapunang Banoi. Same with Mt. Lagyo, here, you will also encounter rock boulders and expect a non-stop ascend. You have to move with extra care, unless you want to fall down to rough and spiky limestones. What makes it more harder for me was I have to stretch my legs and exert a lot of effort on my muscles. (Imagine yung iksi ng mga binti ko na kelangan ko isampa sa malalaking bato para maiahon ang sarili ko pataas?)π and this time, I am really exhausted and I'm about to give up. But Andro and our guide keeps on pushing and motivating us to finish the climb. Can't remember if we took how many take2 or take5 or even take10 along the way, we just keep on pushing until we manage to reached the summit (Nakakaiyak sa pagod bes, pasuko na pero pilit kinakayaπ). Here, we had our last group pic. Others opted to rest for a while, stay and took more buwis buhay shots, while Andro, Neil, Zil, Mark and me started to descent to junction.

At the junction, before starting to trek again going to Mt. Pamitinan 426 MASL we bought water because we ran out of it. On the way up it seemed that you were doing a rock climbing activity. Cramps on both legs πππ. Thank you Andro, Zil and Neil dahil di niyo ko pinabayaan and to Kuya Guide (I didn't get his name) na nagbigay ng efficacent oil to apply on my knee super duper thank you. We continued our trek to summit, this time it's more dangerous because of the muddy trail and slippery limestones. It's already 4pm when we reached our 5th summit. Sitting at the viewdeck of Mt. Pamitinan will give you the feeling of "Im on top of the world", tho we didn't have much time to enjoy the view because we still have 1 more mountain to conquer, again we just took some buwis buhay snaps and descent right away.

Going to our sixth and last summit at Mt. Binacayan 424 MASL, Andro, Zil and me went ahead of the group. We took the right side with 90degrees rock formation. Vying up, you have to be extra careful where you would land your feet because the rocks are not fixed and it might fell off when you step on it. Lantang gulay na literally when we reach the summit. Tired feet and exhausted body, but reaching our last summit with its magnigicent view washed it all away plus the sense of fulfillment that I felt reaching our sixth peak! Ang saya π, sounds OA, but I wanna scream that time. I successfully finished MONTALBAN SITIO WAWA HEXALOGY CLIMB all in 1 DAY!
I pushed myself to the limit. I conquered Montalban Hexa. Kindly allow me to qoute Sir Edmund Hillary, first man to reach Mt. Everest, the peak of the highest mountain on Earth, “It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” π£π⛰

I got teary eyed when we get back to jump-off area and Kuya Rene handed down to me my certificate of conquest. Sobrang surreal ng moment. Next to my Mount Pulag climb, this was the best and the most memorable climb for me.
